Scientific and research activities:
Research activities of the group are currently focused on following projects:
Project MSM 6840770040 Application of radionuclides and ionizing radiation (in collaboration with other departments, faculties and institutes).
Years: 2007 – 2012.
In this project, we focus on: Influence of ionizing radiation and ion implantation on catalytic activity and reactivity of various semiconductor systems, such as single- and multi- component oxides of transition metals, radiation degradation of substituted hydrocarbons, such as dechlorination of chlorinated hydrocarbons (including polychlorinated biphenyles – PCB) in groundwater and wastewater, radiation removal of heavy metals from groundwater and wastewater, radiation corrosion of containers with spent nuclear fuel, radiation sensitivity of cells and other biomaterials, radiation methods for preparation of nanoparticle materials and their characterization.
Project SGS11/163/OHK4/3T/14104/07/1242 Photochemical and radiation synthesis of inorganic materials.
Years: 2012 –
Project is aimed on development of radiation and photochemical syntheses of materials with specific properties.
